2. Überblick
Diese Website setzt keine Cookies, verfolgt dich nicht über andere Websites hinweg und lädt keine Schriften oder Skripte von fremden Servern. Seitenaufrufe zählen wir ohne Cookies (Abschnitt 3). Die App BangerClip verarbeitet deine Aufnahmen, Fotos, Transkripte und Videos auf deinem Mac. Personenbezogene Daten verarbeiten wir nur, soweit es für die Website, dein Konto und Zahlungen nötig ist oder du es selbst auslöst.
3. Hosting der Website
Die Website wird von Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, bereitgestellt. Beim Aufruf verarbeitet Vercel technisch nötige Daten in Server-Logfiles: IP-Adresse, Datum und Uhrzeit, aufgerufene Seite, Referrer, Browser und Betriebssystem. Das dient der sicheren und stabilen Auslieferung der Seite (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Vercel verarbeitet die Daten in unserem Auftrag. Für Übermittlungen in die USA stützt sich Vercel nach eigenen Angaben auf das EU-US Data Privacy Framework und Standardvertragsklauseln.
Reichweitenmessung. Wir zählen Seitenaufrufe mit Vercel Web Analytics, ohne Cookies und ohne Speicherung auf deinem Gerät. Erfasst werden aufgerufene Seite, Referrer, Browser, Betriebssystem, Gerätetyp und Land; die IP-Adresse wird nicht gespeichert und kein Profil über Websites hinweg gebildet. Wir sehen nur zusammengefasste Zahlen (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO, Interesse: die Website verbessern).
Download. Die Datei BangerClip.dmg liegt bei GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Beim Herunterladen verarbeitet GitHub deine IP-Adresse und technische Daten, um die Datei auszuliefern (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b und f DSGVO).
„Link an meinen Mac“. Gibst du dort deine E-Mail-Adresse ein, schicken wir dir genau eine Mail mit dem Download-Link, über den Versanddienst Resend (resend.com, USA), der in unserem Auftrag arbeitet (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO). Wir speichern deine Adresse nicht. Gegen Missbrauch merken wir uns 30 Tage lang nur einen nicht umkehrbaren Hash der Adresse, damit höchstens drei Mails pro Tag an dieselbe Adresse gehen (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Werbung schicken wir nicht.
Freie Beta-Plätze. Die Zahl der freien Plätze holt die Seite über unseren Server aus unserer Datenbank (Supabase, Frankfurt am Main). Dabei werden keine personenbezogenen Daten übertragen.
4. Speicherung im Browser
Wenn du die Sprache umschaltest, merkt sich dein Browser die Wahl im lokalen Speicher (localStorage); ebenso, dass der Download in diesem Besuch schon gestartet ist (sessionStorage). Das ist für die von dir gewünschte Funktion unbedingt erforderlich (§ 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG), wird nicht an uns übertragen und lässt sich über die Browsereinstellungen löschen.
5. Kontakt per E-Mail
Wenn du uns schreibst, verarbeiten wir deine Adresse und deine Nachricht, um die Anfrage zu beantworten (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO bei Anfragen zum Testzugang oder zur App, sonst lit. f). Wir löschen die Nachrichten, wenn sie nicht mehr gebraucht werden und keine Aufbewahrungspflicht besteht.
6. Die App BangerClip
Lokale Verarbeitung. Aufnahmen, Fotos, Logos, Transkripte und fertige Videos bleiben auf deinem Mac. Die Spracherkennung läuft mit einem lokalen Modell. Wir erhalten diese Inhalte nicht.
Einmaliger Download. Beim ersten Start lädt die App das Sprachmodell von Hugging Face (Hugging Face, Inc., USA) und einen Render-Browser von den Download-Servern des Playwright-Projekts (Microsoft Corporation, USA). Dabei sehen diese Anbieter deine IP-Adresse.
Assetbox. Bilder, Videos und Logos, die du in die Assetbox legst, bleiben auf deinem Mac; erkannt wird ihr Inhalt lokal mit Apple Vision. Ist die KI-Regie eingeschaltet, sendet die App dem gewählten Anbieter zusätzlich die erkannten Begriffe, die Schrift im Bild und die Dateinamen (nie die Bilder selbst), um passende Suchwörter zu finden. Ist „Freie Bilder dazuholen“ eingeschaltet, schickt die App ein einzelnes Suchwort aus deinem Clip (zum Beispiel „Schlaf“) an bangerclip.com; unser Server fragt damit Pexels (Kanada) und Pixabay (Deutschland) an und gibt Bildadressen zurück, die App lädt das gewählte Bild dann direkt vom Anbieter. Dabei sehen unser Hosting-Anbieter und der Bildanbieter deine IP-Adresse. Wir speichern die Suchwörter nicht. Du kannst die Funktion in der Assetbox jederzeit ausschalten.
Konto. Für die Anmeldung, die Gratis-Kontingente und deinen Tarif speichern wir deine E-Mail-Adresse, eine Konto-ID, den Tarif (Gratis oder Pro), die Zahl der Gratis-Clips pro Monat, dein KI-Guthaben und eingelöste Codes (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO). Die Datenbank betreibt Supabase, Inc. in unserem Auftrag in einem Rechenzentrum in Frankfurt am Main. Die Anmeldecodes versenden wir per E-Mail über einen Versanddienstleister in unserem Auftrag. Dein Anmelde-Schlüssel liegt im macOS-Schlüsselbund auf deinem Mac.
Zahlungen. Käufe wickelt Paddle.com Market Limited, Judd House, 18-29 Mora Street, London EC1V 8BT, Vereinigtes Königreich, als Händler (Merchant of Record) ab. Paddle verarbeitet Zahlungs- und Rechnungsdaten in eigener Verantwortung nach seiner Datenschutzerklärung. Wir erhalten von Paddle nur, was wir für dein Konto brauchen, etwa E-Mail-Adresse, Land, gekaufte Produkte und den Status deines Abos. Startest du den Kauf in der App, übermittelt unser Server Paddle deine E-Mail-Adresse und eine Konto-Kennung, damit das Abo deinem Konto zugeordnet wird (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).
Fehlerberichte (freiwillig). Scheitert ein Clip oder ist die App abgestürzt, kannst du uns einen Fehlerbericht senden (oder das in den Einstellungen automatisch erlauben). Er enthält App-Version, macOS-Version, Mac-Modell, den Arbeitsschritt, die Fehlermeldung und das Ende des technischen Protokolls bzw. den abgestürzten Programmteil sowie eine zufällige Installations-Kennung. Nicht enthalten sind Aufnahmen, Transkripte, gesprochene Wörter, E-Mail-Adresse und Konto; Benutzernamen in Dateipfaden werden entfernt. Wir nutzen die Berichte nur, um Fehler zu beheben (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO), und löschen sie nach spätestens 12 Monaten. Gespeichert werden sie bei Supabase in Frankfurt am Main.
Updates. Die App fragt beim Start und danach etwa alle sechs Stunden bangerclip.com, ob es eine neue Version gibt, und lädt sie gegebenenfalls aus unserem öffentlichen Release-Verzeichnis bei GitHub (GitHub, Inc., USA). Dabei sehen unser Hosting-Anbieter und GitHub deine IP-Adresse, die App-Version und die macOS-Version. Weitere Daten werden nicht gesendet. Automatische Updates lassen sich in den Einstellungen ausschalten.
KI-Regie (optional). Nur wenn du sie einschaltest, sendet die App den Text des Transkripts sowie Angaben aus deinem Profil (Name, Beschreibung, Stilbeispiele) an den von dir gewählten Anbieter, nie den Ton. Nutzt du einen eigenen Key oder eigenen Login (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, OpenCode), geschieht das direkt zwischen deinem Mac und diesem Anbieter nach dessen Bedingungen. Mit einem lokalen Modell verlassen die Daten deinen Mac nicht. Nutzt du KI-Clips von BangerClip ohne eigenen Key, leiten wir den Text über unseren Server an Anthropic PBC (USA) weiter, das ihn in unserem Auftrag verarbeitet.
7. Speicherdauer
Kontodaten speichern wir, solange dein Konto besteht. Auf Wunsch löschen wir dein Konto, eine Mail an hello@bangerclip.com genügt. Rechnungsrelevante Daten bewahren wir oder Paddle so lange auf, wie es gesetzlich vorgeschrieben ist.
8. Deine Rechte
Du hast das Recht auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung der Verarbeitung, Datenübertragbarkeit und Widerspruch (Art. 15 bis 21 DSGVO) sowie das Recht, eine Einwilligung jederzeit zu widerrufen. Du kannst dich außerdem bei einer Datenschutz-Aufsichtsbehörde beschweren, etwa an deinem Wohnort.

2. Overview
This website sets no cookies, doesn't track you across other websites and loads no fonts or scripts from third-party servers. We count page views without cookies (section 3). The BangerClip app processes your recordings, photos, transcripts and videos on your Mac. We only process personal data where needed for the website, your account and payments, or where you trigger it yourself.
3. Website hosting
The website is served by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit, Vercel processes technically necessary data in server log files: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. This serves the secure and reliable delivery of the site (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Vercel processes this data on our behalf. For transfers to the USA, Vercel states that it relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
Audience measurement. We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, without cookies and without storing anything on your device. It records the page visited, referrer, browser, operating system, device type and country; the IP address is not stored and no profile across websites is built. We only see aggregated numbers (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, interest: improving the website).
Download. The file BangerClip.dmg is hosted by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P Kelly Jr St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you download it, GitHub processes your IP address and technical data to deliver the file (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR).
“Send to my Mac”. If you enter your email address there, we send you exactly one email with the download link, via the email service Resend (resend.com, USA), which works on our behalf (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). We don't store your address. To prevent abuse we only keep a non-reversible hash of the address for 30 days, so that at most three emails a day go to the same address (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We don't send marketing.
Free beta spots. The page fetches the number of free spots through our server from our database (Supabase, Frankfurt am Main). No personal data is transferred.
4. Storage in your browser
When you switch the language, your browser remembers your choice in local storage (localStorage), as well as that the download already started during this visit (sessionStorage). This is strictly necessary for the function you requested (Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG), is not sent to us and can be deleted in your browser settings.
5. Contact by email
If you write to us, we process your address and message to answer your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for requests about early access or the app, otherwise (f)). We delete messages when they are no longer needed and no retention obligation applies.
6. The BangerClip app
Local processing. Recordings, photos, logos, transcripts and finished videos stay on your Mac. Speech recognition runs on a local model. We do not receive this content.
One-time download. On first launch the app downloads the speech model from Hugging Face (Hugging Face, Inc., USA) and a render browser from the download servers of the Playwright project (Microsoft Corporation, USA). These providers see your IP address in the process.
Asset box. Images, videos and logos you put into the asset box stay on your Mac; their content is recognized locally with Apple Vision. If AI direction is on, the app also sends the recognized terms, any text in the image and the file names (never the images themselves) to the provider you chose, to find better search words. If “Fetch free images” is on, the app sends a single search word from your clip (for example “sleep”) to bangerclip.com; our server queries Pexels (Canada) and Pixabay (Germany) with it and returns image addresses, and the app then downloads the chosen image directly from that provider. Our hosting provider and the image provider see your IP address in the process. We do not store the search words. You can turn this off in the asset box at any time.
Account. For sign-in, free quotas and your plan we store your email address, an account ID, your plan (Free or Pro), the number of free clips per month, your AI credit balance and redeemed codes (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). The database is operated on our behalf by Supabase, Inc. in a data center in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Sign-in codes are sent by email through an email service provider on our behalf. Your sign-in token is stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac.
Payments. Purchases are handled by Paddle.com Market Limited, Judd House, 18-29 Mora Street, London EC1V 8BT, United Kingdom, as merchant of record. Paddle processes payment and billing data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. We only receive what we need for your account from Paddle, such as email address, country, products purchased and your subscription status. When you start a purchase in the app, our server passes your email address and an account ID to Paddle so the subscription is linked to your account (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).
Error reports (optional). If a clip fails or the app crashed, you can send us an error report (or allow this automatically in the settings). It contains the app version, macOS version, Mac model, the processing step, the error message and the end of the technical log or the crashed part of the program, plus a random installation ID. It does not contain recordings, transcripts, spoken words, your email address or account; user names in file paths are removed. We only use reports to fix bugs (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and delete them after 12 months at the latest. They are stored with Supabase in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Updates. On launch and about every six hours afterwards, the app asks bangerclip.com whether a new version exists and, if so, downloads it from our public release repository on GitHub (GitHub, Inc., USA). Our hosting provider and GitHub see your IP address, the app version and the macOS version in the process. No other data is sent. Automatic updates can be turned off in the settings.
AI direction (optional). Only if you turn it on does the app send the transcript text and details from your profile (name, description, style examples) to the provider you chose, never the audio. If you use your own key or login (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, OpenCode), this happens directly between your Mac and that provider under its terms. With a local model, the data never leaves your Mac. If you use BangerClip AI clips without your own key, we forward the text via our server to Anthropic PBC (USA), which processes it on our behalf.
7. Retention
We keep account data as long as your account exists. We delete your account on request, an email to hello@bangerclip.com is enough. We or Paddle keep billing-related data for as long as the law requires.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR), and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example where you live.
